Napping Neighbor by Sharon Hodges

I have the honor of painting in Ann's Moleskin this month, and her theme is 'your favorite thing'.  I love dogs, and this is one of the neighborhood canines napping in his favorite chair...(it is a BIG chair). He's an old mutt, kinda scruffy, but sweet and happy to play with all the kids...he likes this chair because the afternoon sun comes in the nearby window.  I know this because he told me!

  1. Sharon, I love, love, love this scruffy pup! Can't believe it's in MY book, and can't wait to meet him in person in the moleskin, I'm especially fond of dogs who can talk!

  3. Scruffy is a good looking doggie. I love the feel of this little painting....that little pup is snoozing in the big chair..... Angela, you tell your husband you don't paint like Sharon Hodges, you paint like Angela Elledge. And yes, please tell him thank you for taking the pic for me.

  5. Sharon, your puppy is wonderful! I love that he naps like I do - in a sunny spot in a comfy chair. He may talk to you but the amazing thing is that YOU understand HIM, and all of God's creatures!
